Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! I specialize in working with diabetes, anxiety, trauma & PTSD, chronic illness and other health conditions, grief, and life transitions. I've lived with type 1 diabetes for 25 years and this deeply informs my work as a therapist - particularly the nuances of our bodies, the frustrations of healthcare, and the challenges of uncertainty and change. I am a dog and nature lover, a juggler, and I always have more to learn.

My approach to therapy

In therapy, I'll help you Slow Down, understand what is keeping you stuck, move towards what is deeply important to you in life, and respond more flexibly to difficulties. I'm often a good fit for folks that have tried A LOT of things already and are looking for something different. I have extensive training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Sandtray, and mindfulness practices. I strongly prefer to work in-person, though am open to virtual therapy if the fit seems right.

What you can expect from me

I want you to leave therapy with a deep connection to what is important to you (values) and tangible skills to use in the week ahead. I'm also a big believer in offering experiential therapy: learning from your real-time here-and-now experience in the therapy room, rather than simply talking about what happened outside of therapy.
