Great to meet you!

The focus of my study and work for the past many years has been helping my clients to navigate the topography of trauma and to find the healing that can be so elusive in our lives. In addition to trauma work, I have worked extensively with bipolar disorder as well as a wide variety of other issues including anxiety, depression, anger management, autism spectrum disorder, and substance abuse. I have worked with men and women, adults and adolescents, and consider myself an emotionally focused, skill-based, Rogerian therapist. I am certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), as well as Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT).

My approach to therapy

Although I believe the work we do together in the office is essential, this process also extends beyond the couch. It is my hope that, together, we can expand the work we do together into your daily life and that you will find skills and tools that you can use whenever you need them. I consider it important to focus and strengthen the connections in our lives, both our connections to ourselves as well as those to the world around us. I believe in the potential for healing in all of us and look forward to being a part of that journey with my clients.

What you can expect from me

Beginning with our first meeting, it is my hope that our sessions are opportunities for understanding and exploration, for skill building and resourcing, and for healing and progression. That together we can develop goals, explore coping mechanisms, and find pathways forward to help you move towards the life you want to be living.
