Great to meet you!

While I am passionate about and specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, I also have the skills and experience to address anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and interpersonal/relationship issues, whether those experiences exist within or outside of the context of an eating disorder.

My approach to therapy

I take a trauma-informed approach to all care, as I view this as essential to understanding the systemic and individual components of experience that may impact treatment. While I often utilize motivational interviewing, accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) concepts and interventions within the context of treatment, these are underpinned by humanistic and insight-oriented theoretical teachings.

What you can expect from me

Treatment aims to provide you with a supportive, compassionate space to process your experiences and feelings, seek understanding about your patterns and struggles, and identify and practice ways of thinking and being that will shift your experience of and relationship to yourself. I am collaborative in my approach and will encourage us to inquire deeply together; however, I also liberally use humor and try not to take myself too seriously.
