Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Amy! I’m a licensed therapist who works with smart, self-aware women who feel overwhelmed by their past- and exhausted from trying to hold it all together. Many of my clients are high-achieving and self-critical, but underneath the surface, they’re dealing with anxiety, trauma, and a growing realization that their brain might just work differently.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am a very laid-back person, no need to feel anxious meeting for the first time- and if you do, that's ok too. You'll quickly feel right at home. I have an integrative approach to therapy that involves uncovering limiting beliefs, understanding how your childhood could have shaped your life today, understanding how trauma affects your nervous system, EMDR, and attachment theory. I also like to use humor (cue the mom jokes) and transparency in my sessions.

What you can expect from our first session

Aligned EMDR & Counseling is in the process of ending our in-network status with insurance companies and moving to a fully private pay model.
