I have practiced as a fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1995.
I graduated with a Masters of Social Work in December of 1993, from Tulane University School of Social Work in New Orleans, LA. Before attending the School of Social Work, I received my Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from Loyoyla University in New Orleans, LA.
My experience began as a Social Worker in an acute hospital setting and then as an Oncology Social Worker for many years before working in long term care facilities and in end of life care with various hospice agencies. Between 2001-2005 I worked as a social worker on an inpatient psychiatric unit. Since 2005 I have worked in community mental health care and as an outpatient behavioral health counselor with local non-profit and hospital facilities before opening my own private practice in 2006.

As a parent, it’s heartbreaking to watch your child struggle—whether their world feels too big and overwhelming, or their emotions too heavy to carry. You see their spark dim under the weight of trauma, anxiety, depression, or ADHD, and you wonder how to help. Together, we’ll create a space where they feel safe, understood, and empowered to thrive.

I believe that everyone is on their own journey through life. I believe everyone has the abilities to meet challenges that are placed on their path. During life sometimes we learn unhealthy methods of coping with those challenges, or experience pain and suffering that make us less effective at using our abilities. Through therapy new more effective skills can be learned and pain and suffering can be lessened. I believe that my roll is to work with you to address those elements of life.
