I have about a decade of experience helping people dealing with loss and grief, going through major life transitions, learning to live in a new culture, and suffering from the effects of trauma. Much of my work has been with refugees and immigrants. I did my social work degree in Chicago and worked in non-profits there before moving back to the South.

Welcome! My name is Elena, and I am so happy you have chosen to pursue therapy. I believe a therapist should be kind and approachable, but also provide evidence-based therapeutic techniques. I provide both of those, and I would be happy to work with you. I have been in practice for 37 years and have worked with numerous clients, helping them navigate a wide range of issues and concerns. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, and depression. I attended LSU for my bachelor's degree and Florida State University for my master's degree in Social Work. Contact me and we can talk about it, see if we are a good fit.

I became a therapist because therapy helped me. I used to be a very stressed and anxious perfectionist, but therapy has helped me let go of anxiety and find more joy. Now I help other anxious professionals learn practical tools and techniques to manage their anxiety and start enjoying their lives again.
