Great to meet you!

I have more than 20 years of experience a therapist, 15 of those in private practice. I see clients with parenting challenges, life stage issues, relationship issues, & mood disorders. I see individuals, and couples but always rely on my training to view individuals as part of a system. My education includes a PhD in Family Therapy from Texas Woman's University, a MS in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University, & a BA from Texas A&M University (Whoop!).

My approach to therapy

My approach is behavioral & strength-focused from a systems perspective. I will be asking questions in particular ways to encourage clients to formulate their goals and then achieve them. While sometimes I will need some background on your problem area, we will spend most of our time focused on the present and the future.

What you can expect from me

I will do my best to create a peaceful space in which you can address your issue. You have lots of strengths. I'll be looking for & highlighting those strengths as we work together. My clients often be given a task or area to focus on until the next session.
