Great to meet you!

I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate complex emotional challenges, build stronger relationships, and regain a sense of balance in their lives. Through personalized therapy sessions, I provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your emotions, understand your patterns, and take actionable steps toward lasting growth. I began my career in anger management in 1989 in San Diego, CA, working in state-certified programs supporting domestic violence intervention and behavioral change. Over 36 years, I have honed my skills, gaining deep insight into the dynamics of anger, emotional regulation, and interpersonal relationships. My extensive experience allows me to tailor therapy to each individual.

My approach to therapy

If you’re struggling with anger or feel ready to make meaningful changes in how you respond to stress and conflict, my anger management sessions provide a structured, supportive environment for growth. Together, we’ll explore the underlying causes of your emotional reactions, identify triggers, and develop practical strategies to respond with control, insight, and compassion. I also specialize in emotional abuse counseling, helping individuals understand and break free from harmful emotional or verbal patterns in their relationships. My approach focuses on fostering self-awareness, personal responsibility, and emotional healing while supporting clients as they rebuild healthier, more compassionate connections. Please note that I do not work with cases involving physical abuse. I also provide compassionate, affirming therapy for transgender individuals navigating gender transition, helping them align with their authentic identities and reduce gender dysphoria. Sessions focus on building resilience, coping with social and emotional challenges, and supporting overall mental health during this important life process. I also work closely with parents of transgender children, guiding them through the journey of understanding, acceptance, and advocacy. Together, we focus on fostering a nurturing environment that promotes emotional well-being, self-confidence, and family cohesion, ensuring that both parents and children feel supported throughout the transition.
