Arthur Cox

With more than 50 years of behavioral health experience, I have dedicated my career to advancing the understanding and treatment of mental health, substance use, co-occurring disorders, and psycho-sexual evaluation and treatment. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of leading major institutions — including Florida's first JCAHO-accredited mental health facility — and serving in senior academic roles at Boston University, Florida State University, and Columbia University.

I believe that exceptional care requires both clinical depth and operational excellence, and I bring both to every patient I work with. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practice, shaped by decades of research, teaching, and hands-on clinical work across a wide range of settings and populations.

As a published author and curriculum developer, I remain deeply committed to educating the next generation of behavioral health professionals and continuing to influence the field in meaningful ways. That same commitment to growth and innovation drives my clinical practice today — I maintain an active caseload and approach each patient's care with the same curiosity and dedication that has guided my career from the start.
