Mara is a dedicated military veteran with eight years of service in the Army. Transitioning from her military career, she pursued her passion for psychology and crisis counseling, earning her bachelor’s degree from Liberty University in 2015. Mara furthered her education, obtaining a master’s in professional counseling in 2020. Mara is committed to assisting trauma survivors in overcoming guilt and shame while fostering reconnection with their faith and loved ones.

I am dually licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). My private practice has been open since 2006 in Palm Coast and my clinical experience began in 2002.

My ideal client is a human who is struggling to make sense out of all this craziness who is looking for an equally whackadoodle counselor who can sit alongside through all the hard and ugly stuff. I do not have a perfect life; I don't have much figured out. What I do know, though, is that being in the presence of another human being who unconditionally accepts you and sees your worth is healing. That attachment experience heals old wounds like nothing I've ever seen before.

Christina graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas with a Masters in Social Work, concentrating in Mental and Physical Health and specializing in Gerontology. She has extensively studied in the areas of grief, loss and mourning as well as trauma and its impact on the lifespan. Prior to beginning private practice work, Christina enjoyed helping families in transition in adult and pediatric hospice. Christina is trained in EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, as well as the Gottman Method.

Beatrice Lafleur, is a board certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker, located in Florida but is also licensed in Oregon. She who works with teens and adults and provides care for patients who struggle with depression, anxiety, and the desire to reach life goals. Ms. Lafleur has extensive experience with individual therapy and has been a board certified LCSW for 11 plus years, 16 years in the mental health field.
