Great to meet you!

I am a private-practice therapist who focuses on the relationship and the needs of the client in front of me, not just the service plan. I have worked in a variety of social work settings, including working as a life coach in a homeless youth shelter and a front desk/office manager at a substance use counseling center. I started my counseling internship in 2023, and have been practicing counseling consistently since, and I was licensed in October of 2025. I do not have a specific certification for any counseling modality, but I have years of experience working with clients in domestic violence (both men and women) and the adult children of immature parents.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is very eclectic. I am a fan of Yalom's approach to counseling in the sense that I believe being present, warm, and focused on the client is the most important thing. My main goal in the counseling office is to create a warm and nonjudgmental space for people to manage their life stressors, and help them build new skills through behavioral therapy (cbt and dbt) as well as more somatic and parts-based conversations.

What you can expect from me

In a first session, after the intake, clients can expect me to invite them to take the lead. I like to use the first session to dive into stressors; sometimes this can mean the main issue, sometimes this means issues from the week, and sometimes this simply means building trust through general connection. The first session is always about developing a rapport, and I try to avoid turning the first conversation I have with a client into exclusively problem-solving.
