Great to meet you!

I am enthusiastic Washingtonian and happy to call Seattle home. I received my undergraduate degree in Medical Anthropology and Global Health from the University of Washington, and my Doctorate from the University of North Dakota. When partnering with me, expect a clinician who is focused on you, your culture, and how all of these factors impact your experience. I lead with curiosity, collecting and using data to inform our work together and guide my integration of evidenced based practice.

My approach to therapy

I practice from an integrated lens, my work is most influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is an evidenced based approach to psychological symptoms and challenges. What you can expect in working with me is in addition to learning more about you and your experiences as a human being, I will often incorporate interventions which rely on the principles of CBT. Other styles influencing my care are Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).

What you can expect from me

My foremost hope is that clients will walk away from session feeling heard and understood by me as their clinician. At the heart of my practice is a desire to always have a full respect for your life, your context, and your reality. A very close second hope of mine is that my clients also walk away with a tangible skill to experiment with between sessions. As with many others who practice from a CBT lens, I have a strong emphasis in out of session work or review skills between sessions.
