Great to meet you!

I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating challenges related to relationships, trauma, abuse recovery, and life transitions. As a Marriage & Family Therapist with EMDR training, I am passionate about helping clients move from a place of pain or confusion toward healing, clarity, and lasting peace.

I hold a deep appreciation for the unique journeys of each client I serve, and I bring a rich blend of clinical insight and real-world experience. Before entering the field of therapy, I held leadership roles in the corporate world and served extensively in both vocational and bi-vocational Christian ministry. These diverse experiences have equipped me with a broad perspective and a compassionate, grounded approach to emotional and relational struggles.

Personally, I’ve been married to my sweetheart for over 30+ years. We’ve raised three wonderful children—two daughters and a son—and are now blessed with two delightful grandchildren. My life journey has taught me the value of resilience, faith, and connection, which I aim to bring into every therapeutic relationship.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy, where your values, beliefs, and life experiences are honored and respected. Whether we're working individually or with couples and families, my goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and supported.

My work is deeply informed by General Systems Theory, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma recovery, as well as systemic and relational therapies for addressing communication breakdowns, marital strain, or family conflict. I also welcome clients who value a Christian faith/spiritually-integrated approach to therapy. For those who desire it, Christian faith and biblical principles can be gently woven into the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. I’ll invite you to share what’s bringing you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and any concerns or questions you may have about the process. We’ll also explore your history, current challenges, and begin identifying the goals that matter most to you.

My aim is to make you feel comfortable, safe, and empowered from the very beginning. Whether you’re feeling anxious, stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I’m here to walk alongside you—offering compassion, clarity, and professional guidance each step of the way.
