Deborah McNeill

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and had a successful career in sales and marketing before enrolling at the University of South Carolina where I received a Master of Social Work (MSW). I believe my work as a therapist is enhanced by my life experiences and by my work in a corporate environment.

I have prior experience working in emergency and inpatient mental health settings. I am skilled in assessment, diagnosis and treatment in mental health.

I believe the relationship between a therapist and client should be one of cooperation and collaboration. My role is to guide and assist you in processing, understanding and coping with difficult challenges and life events to identify goals that are personal and realistic. My supportive and accepting approach will help you to gain insight and develop new skills to create the life you want for yourself.

As a licensed and trained therapist, I:

• Provide a safe, non-judgmental, supportive space
• Diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
• Help clarify a problems or identify a stressors
• Assist in processing and healing from current or past trauma
• Guide you in defining goals and monitor and hold you accountable your goal
• Help resolve a clearly defined problem to develop a plan of action
• Support, challenge, educate and guide you through long-term life problems
• Identify and teach healthy coping skills
