Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my Master Degree from the University of Northern Colorado.

Having immigrated from Mexico at a young age and later identifying as Lesbian brought many challenges of acculturation and familial norms and expectations that I had to overcome. These experiences opened a deep understanding of the need for and importance of being heard, understood, and welcomed within our most cherished communities. As a result, I was inspired to work with the most vulnerable and diverse groups in our community including children, adolescents, minorities, immigrants and LGTBQIA+ individuals and support their social-emotional growth and to assist in their self-discovery to gain a clearer sense of purpose and direction in life.

My approach to therapy

I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and graduate from the University of Northern Colorado’s Clinical Mental Health Master Program. I also earned an MA in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona in my hometown of Tucson, Arizona. My person-centered approach to therapy provides client’s a safe empathetic space to recognize and draw from their strengths, meet their individual goals, heal from trauma, and live their lives to their fullest potential.

What you can expect from me

I enjoy working with populations of all ages and cultural backgrounds in addition to children and adolescents. I look forward to being part of your journey.
