My aim is to support people to live a present, engaged and fulfilled life. My clients feel stressed out to the point of feeling collapse; unworthy of love, overwhelmed and unheard. Many have PTSD from abuse /neglect as a child, impacts of generational/cultural/religious patterns, or traumatic events. My clients symptoms show up as anxiety, changes in mood, inability to regulate and/or navigate life. unresolved trauma, fear, depression, anger, grief, physical pain and chronic health issues.
Many of the people I work with are going through some kind of transition.
Sometimes that looks like anxiety that’s getting harder to manage, feeling stuck in the same patterns, or navigating changes in relationships, identity, or life direction. Other times it’s grief, stress, or a sense that something just isn’t working the way it used to.
You might find yourself overthinking, shutting down, or reacting in ways that don’t quite make sense, even to you. You may understand things logically, but still feel stuck emotionally.
My background is in clinical mental health counseling, and my work is grounded in approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I also have advanced training in working with relationship dynamics, which often show up even in individual therapy.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a journalist. That still shapes how I work today. I pay close attention, listen for patterns, and help you make sense of your story in a way that feels clear, grounded, and meaningful.
I have wanted to be a therapist since I was twelve years old after seeing a guru use his expertise to connect with a troubled child who had only known how to push others away. Over twenty five years later, I'm privileged enough to have found my own niche, working with individual adults address the impacts of trauma, anxiety, and depression. They have proven that the capacity to love and embrace life can be rediscovered, even for those who have lived through the unbearable.
I'm a Colorado native who loves the outdoors, travel, dabbling in the arts, and spending time with those I love. Sometimes, I am blissfully content just curling up with my geriatric cat and a good movie.
Addressing life difficulties can be overwhelming, stressful and isolating. It takes a lot of courage to overcome your obstacles, but doing it alone may not be enough. I believe that building a strong connection is the most important thing in beginning to help you. It is important that you feel safe, understood and valued. I offer compassion, creative thinking and humor to help clients work towards their goals.
I'm a licensed therapist dedicated to supporting WOMEN, CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS, and COUPLES through life’s challenges. Whether you're navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic stress, or emotional pain, you're not alone—and healing is possible.
My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and tailored to your unique needs. I work with clients on a range of concerns, including emotional self-regulation, life transitions, trauma recovery, and the everyday difficulties that can feel overwhelming.
Therapy is a space for growth, understanding, and healing. Whether you're seeking support for yourself or a loved one, I’m here to help you move forward with strength and clarity.
Let’s begin the journey together.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Searching for therapists in Arvada starts with knowing what kind of support fits your needs. You may be looking for help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, relationship challenges, or a major life change. As you compare Arvada therapists, look for someone whose listed specialties, training, and approach match what you want to address. A therapist’s profile can help you understand whether they use approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or acceptance and commitment therapy.
Arvada is a smaller city within the Denver metro area, so local appointment options may vary by neighborhood, schedule, and office location. Virtual therapy can expand your choices while still letting you work with a therapist licensed in Colorado. Some people prefer an in-person office near Olde Town Arvada, Standley Lake, or another nearby area, while others prefer virtual sessions that fit around work, school, or caregiving. Before booking, compare availability, whether a therapist is accepting new clients, session format, and whether a free phone consultation is offered. Reading bios closely can also show how a therapist describes their communication style and what a first session may involve.
Therapy in Arvada can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you search for therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, verify your benefits, see estimated out-of-pocket costs upfront, and book directly when you’re ready. This makes it easier to find someone who matches your needs, accepts your plan, and is ready to take new clients.
