Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Licensed Professional Counselor- Supervisor with over 13 years’ experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I have had the opportunity to work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism (verbal only), Adjustment Disorders, Conduct/Behavioral Disorders, Parenting Concerns, Trauma Related Disorders, Chronic Pain, among others. I take an eclectic approach when working with teens and adults, to ensure the interventions are tailored to fit the unique needs of each of client. I am able to incorporate Christian counseling into my therapy sessions for clients who seek faith based services. I obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology and Masters Certificate as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from The University of Texas Pan American (now known as The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley).

My approach to therapy

As your therapist, I like to adapt to my client's preference in therapy. I specialize in incorporating CBT in my sessions. For client's that are seeking faith based, I incorporate Christian Counseling.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions to help us establish rapport, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Having had the opportunity to work with various age groups in the past ten years, it has gained me the ability to gain the necessary skills to (1) help clients feel more comfortable (2) identify the root cause of the presented concerns (3) tailor a treatment plan according to your needs (4) keep you engaged and motivated in working towards attaining your goals.

I like to work and look forward to having the opportunity to work with anyone who is looking to improve their quality of life by gaining the necessary tools to make positive changes in their lives.
