Great to meet you!

My father was a career military officer; I have lived in Germany and Austria, and many states in the United States. Before getting my Masters degree in counseling and guidance, I received a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics and designed computer based instruction. I am an Imago Therapist and have training in relationship counseling, Self-Relations Therapy, and EMDR. I specialize in relationship counseling with a focus on communication and improving connection with others and one's self.

My approach to therapy

I use my therapeutic skills helping clients gain better understanding of their motivations and challenges in relationship. I take a non-pathological approach and encourage clients to explore with me creative ways to advocate for their own needs in relationship while demonstrating compassion towards to the needs of others. I have a previous M.A. degree Applied Linguistics and additional training in communication skills, and couple's communication strategies. Certified in Imago therapy.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to come away from sessions with improved insight into their motivations, improved communication skills, and increased awareness of the importance of human connection. You can expect to learn to help you communicate more skillfully, manage your emotions during your talks, and speak to one another in ways that help increase connections and emotionally intimacy.
