My journey to become a therapist was part of my own healing journey.
When I was young, I lived with unnecessary suffering because I was fighting my reality. At times I struggled to trust myself and others, resulting in reactionary behaviors. I didn’t understand it was OK to feel my feelings. I didn’t know that I could move through despair by accepting my emotions, experiences, and circumstances. Becoming a therapist helped me learn about relating to my experience with more compassion.
