Great to meet you!

Currently I work full time as a professor in Family Studies and Human Development, because I love studying what makes people tick, including the vital role relationships play in our formation and happiness. I've been a practicing Marriage and Family Therapist for over 17 years.

My approach to therapy

Many of the adults I work with are capable and self-reliant — but they’ve reached a point where something isn’t working. They feel stuck in old patterns, but pushing through it alone isn’t solving it. I help my clients move forward by facilitating new insights, while developing new skills. I am also interested in helping clients explore the influence of childhood dynamics, attachment patterns, and family roles on your thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

What you can expect from me

My intention for our first session, is to provide a warm and friendly environment where you feel safe to share what's bothering you. I want you to feel validated and understood, while experiencing some measure of relief and optimism for the future.
