Great to meet you!

As an experienced health psychologist, I focus on wellness across physical, psychological, and relational realms. My background as a military veteran fuels my commitment to trauma-informed approaches. My professional experiences as a leader and supervisor in both the military and the mental health realms inform my support to those who are navigating demanding professions. I value humor and creativity and am excited to weave geekery and fandoms into therapy.

My approach to therapy

Practicing from an existential-humanistic perspective, I support people with the moments in life when they feel disconnected from their values, distant from others, detached from their multifaceted identities, and out of balance in their daily rhythms. I integrate acceptance and commitment therapy, self-compassion, and mindfulness approaches. I specialize in grief and loss, trauma, chronic pain, brain injury, cancer, prenatal/postpartum challenges, compassion fatigue, burnout, and career change.

What you can expect from me

Each of us experiences moments in life when our path is unclear. In the midst of overwhelm, we know something needs to change yet we may not easily see what that is. Or we may know what we we want to change but encounter challenges from others or from seemingly immovable obstacles in our world. At times like these, we need a wingman; someone who knows how to help us utilize our strengths so we can chart a course toward what matters most. I would be honored to be your wingman.
