Great to meet you!

I'm Kayla (she/her), a queer, neurodivergent, and chronically ill therapist. I specialize in trauma processing and recovery through a somatic lens, meaning I believe in the nervous system's innate ability to heal and regulate itself- sometimes it just needs a little guidance. When I'm not working with clients, you can find me exploring local coffee shops, listening to music or a podcast, or spending time with my partner and our dog, Bailey (who joins me during sessions sometimes).

My approach to therapy

Sometimes, talk therapy alone isn’t enough. I help my clients regulate their nervous systems and feel a sense of relief through trauma-informed body-based approaches. I use EMDR, somatic experiencing, and psycho-therapeutic yoga (no flexibility required) to help clients reconnect with their bodies and heal from their heaviest burdens.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a space of acceptance, kindness, understanding, and warmth. Make yourself comfortable! Grab a blanket, kick off your shoes, and have some chocolate. I invite you to bring your whole self into the therapy room. So, yes, you can lie down on the couch, memes are welcome in session, and I would love to see a picture of your dog any time.

Call/ text me at 469.305.1179 or email me at [email protected] to schedule a 15-minute phone consultation to see if we'd be a good fit.
