Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Kristan Seaford, and I have been a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor for over 20 years. I got my BA in English and Psychology from Duke University and a MA in Counseling from Wake Forest University.

However, it is my "on the job" training that has proven to be invaluable. I began my career working as a college counselor; then I became a play therapist in a private practice. Finally, in 2016, I realized one of my life's biggest dreams. I opened my own practice!

My approach to therapy

I know that counseling works! So I trust the process -- first, we build a trusting relationship, next we define our counseling goals and break them down into manageable chunks. We work hard; and step by step, we finally reach our goals!!

I have trained under The Gottman Method of Couples Counseling (Levels 1 & 2) as well as my twenty years of marriage have spoken to the way I work with couples.

What you can expect from me

I love meeting people from all walks of life and learning about their families, cultures, hope and dreams. I'm honored that so many share with me their difficulties, hurts, frustrations, and fears.
