Great to meet you!

Hola! My name is Marta Guzman, and I am a Latina, Spanish speaking, clinical psychologist. My practice aims to serve individuals managing anxiety disorders, trauma, relational concerns, and chronic and acute stressors. In particular, as a woman of color, I strive to serve those who have been historically underserved by providing high quality, compassionate, and culturally responsive psychotherapy.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Seeking therapy can be a challenging prospect. Thus, I strive to create a warm and compassionate space, by enacting my values of humor and community. My aim is to get to know you as a person, and to assess how we may establish a collaborative relationship to alleviate any concerns that may bring you to treatment. I draw from empirically supported modalities such as CBT and ACT, as well as integrate existential theory and a culturally and identity responsive framework.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal is to help clients gain clarity, connect to their strengths, and experience improvement. In fact, many clients report experiencing a sense of relief after our first meeting.
