Great to meet you!

Hello there! I'm Samantha, I work with teens and adults who are navigating trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and the weight of existing in the world today. Many of my clients are working through experiences like domestic violence, sexual assault, religious trauma, or grief and loss.

I’m especially passionate about supporting the LGBTQ+ community and have spent over a decade volunteering and advocating for LGBTQ+ individuals. Creating a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported is at the heart of the work I do.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is strengths-based, client-centered, and affirming. I strive to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive environment where you can show up exactly as you are. I believe in meeting you where you are and building upon your existing resilience and strengths. My goal is to help you move beyond survival toward self-acceptance, self-compassion, and lasting healing.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I like to spend time getting to know you — your strengths as well as your struggles — and exploring what goals you might have for therapy. And I promise, there is no wrong answer. If you’re thinking, “I’m not exactly sure what I want, I just know I’m struggling,” that is completely valid and a very common place to start. I want to understand what brought you to therapy and what feels most challenging right now.

I’ll also ask about different areas of your life — family, friendships, hobbies, work, and other important relationships. This helps me get a fuller picture of who you are, what brings you joy, who makes up your support system, and what stressors you may be navigating.

You’re always welcome to ask me any questions you have about me, my approach, or the theraputic process. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin this work together.
