Great to meet you!

I’m Sarah Lucas, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Denver, Colorado, and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (PMH-C). I specialize in supporting all genders experiencing prenatal and postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, and the emotional challenges related to loss, infertility, and fertility treatments. I work with clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck in anxious thought patterns, or disconnected from themselves during periods of major life transition—especially pregnancy, postpartum, and family-building journeys.

My approach to therapy

I have specialized training through the American Society of Reproductive Medicine in supporting individuals and couples navigating infertility, IVF, pregnancy loss, and reproductive stress. I understand how emotionally complex and consuming these experiences can be, and I approach this work with sensitivity, care, and respect for each client's unique story. I utilize multiple therapies including CBT, DBT, and ACT to create a treatment plan that suits each client's unique needs. I'm a practical therapist, so I want to give you strategies to use outside of the therapy session in your daily life- as well as offering a listening and understanding ear.

What you can expect from me

I hope you leave every session with me feeling empowered, supported, and more compassionate towards yourself. I want to help you navigate transitions and design your life with courage and confidence. We'll open up, talk goals, make plans, and work together to help you feel good. Along the way, I'll be here beside you to remind you that you are wonderful, just as you are.
