Great to meet you!

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” – Maya Angelou. Hi, I’m Tamesha, a Licensed Professional Counselor providing compassionate, culturally responsive therapy for individuals and couples. I specialize in working with clients navigating cultural issues, life transition, and identity exploration. I have experiences supporting the BIPOC communities, LGBTQ+ affirming care, couple counseling, and geriatric clients. I help clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, stress, and trauma-related concerns. My goal is to help you adapt and navigate a world that can feel overwhelming, exhausting, and confusing while reminding you that you don't have to do it alone. I strive to create a safe, open, inclusive, and nonjudgmental therapy space where you can explore your emotions honestly and freely. I am a therapist who will support you and also challenge the barriers that get in the way of your growth. Together, we will work at a pace that feels right for you while building skills, insight, and resilience.

My approach to therapy

My approach addresses the WHOLE person (mind, body, and spirit). Together, we will explore your strengths, values, and purpose while finding tools to help you overcome life’s obstacles. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I individualize treatment so we can find what truly works for you. If something doesn't fit, we will explore other modalities together.

What you can expect from me

Clients often leave sessions feeling respected, heard, empowered, and supported, with greater clarity, and tangible strategies to help them thrive in daily life.
