Great to meet you!

I understand that beginning therapy can be incredibly overwhelming and I am here to walk alongside you. I have been in the field for almost two decades which is sometimes hard to believe! I am a licensed professional counselor and certified eating disorders specialist. I also have extensive training in working with trauma, PTSD, and dissociation. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed working in all levels of care from acute hospitalization to outpatient therapy.

A bit about my approach to therapy

To me, the most important aspect of psychotherapy is the relationship between therapist and client. Creating emotional safety is my number-one priority. My experience has taught me that traditional top-down methods of talking are not sufficient for healing. This is why I utilize a holistic approach involving mind, body, and spirit. Together we will learn about your nervous system and how to allow new associations to be made to achieve whole body wellness.

What you can expect from our first session

In my therapy practice I work with the whole person--physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual--taking a holistic approach. Through this kind of whole-self therapy, you'll gain a deeper understanding of yourself on all levels and feel empowered to make positive changes in your life. This is done in a nonjudgmental, caring, and confidential space.
