I am from Lockport, Illinois and have lived in Phoenix AZ for over 25 years. I received my undergrad at Governor's state University and grad degree from Capella university. My specialty is Trauma, but I also work with many other problems. I work with children ages 10 to 18.
I primarily work with women who are feeling emotionally drained, stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, or who no longer recognize who they used to be. Many women I work with grew up learning to prioritize others’ needs, manage everyone else’s emotions, and silence their own. Over time, this can lead to relationships that are never quite fulfilling and create a constant sense of self-doubt or exhaustion. I support clients with strengthening their confidence, building their self-worth and ability to trust themselves, and to be able to create relationships that feel safe with healthier emotional boundaries.
I’m Dr. Courtney Chettle, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor, based in Arizona. I specialize in helping adults who are navigating trauma, substance use, anxiety, burnout, neurodivergence, identity exploration, and life transitions. I know how heavy life can feel when you’re carrying old wounds, coping silently, or feeling disconnected from who you really are. You don’t have to do it alone.
I bring 14 years of experience in the behavioral health field, including 6 years as a licensed clinician and several more as a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor. I work with people who are ready to make real, lasting changes, people who want to heal, grow, and feel more like themselves again.
As someone who is in recovery and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and neurodivergent individual who has had to navigate life from that lens, I offer a space where you don’t have to explain who you are, where you’ve been, or why it is hard. You’ll be met with respect, empathy, and understanding. My clients often say they feel truly seen, supported, and empowered in our work together.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right therapist in Glendale starts with getting clear on what kind of support you're looking for. Therapists specialize in different areas — some focus on anxiety or depression, others on relationships, trauma, or life transitions. Knowing your primary concern can help you narrow your search. Look for a licensed provider (such as an LPC, LCSW, psychologist, or psychiatrist) who has experience with your specific needs, and read their bio to understand their approach before booking.
With a large number of mental health providers practicing across Glendale and the surrounding West Valley, choosing one can feel overwhelming. Consider what matters most to you — whether that's a provider who offers CBT or another specific therapy style, someone available for virtual sessions, or a therapist located near your neighborhood. A free phone consultation can help you decide if a provider is the right match before you commit to a session.
Therapy in Glendale can be expensive without insurance. Using your in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to lower your out-of-pocket costs. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs upfront, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a therapist who is both the right clinical fit and covered by your plan.
