Great to meet you!

After 30 years teaching high school in Abilene schools, for me, counseling was a natural choice as a retirement career. I love people, and I'm a helper by nature.

My approach to therapy

My style is heavily influenced by Carl Roger's person-centered approach. Insurance companies want quick therapy solutions, so I frequently lean on a cognitive-behavioral approach.

What you can expect from me

I reassure clients that what is said in my office is confidential health information according to HIPAA standards.

IMPORTANT: There is a single exception to confidentiality. In my professional opinion, if you, the client, or someone else is at risk of harm, I will cross the confidentiality line–for your safety or the safety of another individual. This is my legal "duty to report."
