Dr. Saeed Ahmed

Dr. Ahmed is a triple board-certified psychiatrist, holding certifications in General Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, as well as in Addiction Medicine from the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He specializes in treating a wide range of psychiatric and substance use disorders. Dr. Ahmed is currently affiliated with St. Francis Hospital. Dr. Ahmed is also an Assistant Professor at UConn & Quinnipiac University.

Our first session will focus on understanding your concerns, mental health history, and treatment goals.

This practice adheres to strict legal, ethical, and medical guidelines for prescribing controlled substances (e.g., stimulants, benzodiazepines, opioids).

Prior prescriptions or self-reported diagnoses do not guarantee continuation or initiation of these medications. All treatment decisions are based on clinical judgment, evidence-based practices, and medical necessity. If a controlled substance is not appropriate, the request will be respectfully declined.
