Great to meet you!

I have over 30 years experience in the fields of mental health and substance abuse and have worked in inpatient, outpatient, Assertive Community Care Treatment Teams, private practice and the VA Healthcare System. I work with adults and couples over the age of 18 from all orientations, backgrounds, cultures and environments. There is not a whole lot I have not seen in this field over the years but I am always learning and fascinated by people's life experiences.

My approach to therapy

As a Social Worker, I view people as being part of a system, whether it is a family system, cultural system, internal system, etc. My approach to therapy is eclectic and strengths based, using evidence-based practices as well as a lot of insight and exploration to help people identify issues, make necessary changes, create healthy relationships, discover possibilities and live as authentically as possible.

What you can expect from me

My intent for clients is to walk away from my sessions with more clarity about issues, tools to help them make necessary changes, and a stronger, more confident sense of self. I want people to know that, no matter what the issue, healing is always possible if they show up and do the work...and that starts with just a willingness to just show up.
