Great to meet you!

Dr. Traci Taber is an experienced psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and parents. She has extensive practice in working with individuals and families struggling with the challenges of autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other learning, developmental, and behavioral disorders.

My approach to therapy

Values are an important focus of the work I do with families, first in clarifying what is important to the individual or family and working towards aligning behaviors with these values. This essential work is my passion, and I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents ages 3-16 with a variety of emotional and behavioral needs.

What you can expect from me

Most sessions incorporate validation of emotions with a highlight on skill-building so an individual is better able to maintain emotional regulation between sessions. When working with adults to address behavioral and emotional challenges in children, I use a coaching model to support parents in responding to their child's behavior in a way that is positive, affirming, and promotes a child’s ability to use coping strategies and regulate their own behavior in the future.
