Great to meet you!

I enjoy working with diverse individuals seeking to learn more about their mental health and their own emotional and mental wellbeing. Many of the people I work with experience symptoms of anxiety, depression; have chronic health issues, relationship challenges, extremely high stress, and ongoing impacts of past and present trauma in their day to day lives. I focus on getting to know the individual person, exploring their own personal experiences and strengths as well as the struggles they are experiencing to establish personalized intentions and goals that lead to transformative healing and growth.

I provide a trauma informed, strength-based, compassion focused practice that is based on a person centered framework. I engage with each individual to identify unique needs, challenges, strengths and build the connection to determine next steps. I specialize in complex trauma, LGBTQIA+, grief/loss, end of life/caregiver needs, and complex health conditions.

I have been a home and community based medical social worker for over 20 years prior to becoming a therapist and I bring a depth of knowledge and expertise of working directly with hundreds of humans over the years into this work. Now I look forward to connecting with you and assisting you on your own journey!

My approach to therapy

It is my intention to work as a guide alongside you: to listen, hear what you have to say, to explore your concerns and needs, to establish connection and safety to identify wounds and opportunities to heal in meaningful ways, on your own terms. I understand the impacts and challenges of emotional and mental distress on your wellbeing and I am here to help.

What you can expect from me

We will start with deepening understanding and knowledge of yourself and your own experiences, starting with where you are at this moment in time. Initial sessions will include: assessing your personal concerns, establishing goals and intentions for therapy while also creating connection and trust to continue to move forward. We will create a space to explore what is needing to be seen and healed.
