Theresa Palermo

With over 30 years experience as a therapist working to help individuals of all ages to overcome obstacles and deal with grief, loss, adversity, mental illness and trauma, I have developed an expertise in helping people to integrate the experiences that they encounter and reach a new level in their lives. I work with children (ages 10 and older), adolescents and adults in individual and family therapy, utilizing Talk Therapy, AEDP, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, EMDR and Brainspotting. My areas of specialty include, Adoption Issues, Trauma/PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Divorce, Parenting Issues, Grief, Loss and life transitions.

I specialize in using relational and experiential approaches that help undo the alonesess that people have experienced in the face of adversity and trauma. This allows individuals to integrate challenging and traumatic experiences in a way that is both healing and transformative.

The initial session will be an opportunity to share what you hope to get from therapy and to begin to build a working alliance as we explore these areas for growth more fully.
