Great to meet you!

My clients have described me as a gentle, calming presence, perceptive, and a compassionate listener. Over the last 12 years I have worked as a mental health counselor in various settings. I'm passionate about working with adults who feel like their past is negatively affecting their present. I am skilled at treating individuals with childhood trauma as well as those who have experienced traumatic or stressful events in adulthood.

My approach to therapy

I approach counseling from a trauma-informed lens, focusing on life experiences and how they impact our emotions, body, beliefs, and behaviors. I highlight my client’s strengths and inner resources and we utilize and build on them in the course of treatment. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Ego State Interventions, and Motivational Interviewing.

What you can expect from me

We will begin to get to know each other. I will ask you about your concerns and experiences. We will form a plan together that meets your needs.

I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person. We are all valuable and deserving of care and respect. I also value fidelity; I take care in building a relationship with each of my clients characterized by trust, security, and compassion. I am faithful in showing up to sessions ready to listen, support, and help clients reach their goals.
