Lia is a warm, empathic, experienced psychotherapist. She has over 30 years experience in helping folks of all ages, gender expressions, sexual orientations and racial identity navigate the complexities of being human in this day and age. She has studied at Smith College and Boston University and has been practicing in North Carolina for the last 27 years.

My approach to therapy

Clients find Lia to be easy to connect with and warm and relatable. She uses the therapeutic alliance to help clients navigate changes in their inner world and their relationships at home and in their families communities. She brings in Polyvagal Theory, EMDR and other trauma based theories to assist with talk therapy.
