As a licensed psychologist, I believe that healing is a deeply personal process, and my goal is to create a space where you can feel safe, heard, and supported while exploring life’s complexities. Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating; I admire your courage of taking that first step! I specialize in helping older teens and adults navigate difficult life transitions, cope with stress, heal from traumatic experiences, and obtain greater self-awareness.
My therapy style is attentive, honest, and often includes humor. I strive to show up in a genuine yet deliberate way to facilitate a working alliance based on interpersonal connection and trust. If something isn't working, let's talk about it! I view therapy as a partnership based on curiosity and compassion. My goal is to meet you where you are and support you in forging deeper connections with yourself, others, and the world around you. No topic is off-limits, and every part of you is welcome here. Together, we'll uncover your strengths and develop tools for growth, resilience, and healing, helping you regain control and thrive.
During our first session, I carefully listen to your story, considering your unique lived experiences, including how societal forces, including oppression and privilege, impact them. I consider a holistic understanding of the client imperative to determining the best treatment approach. No therapy is one-size-fits all! We'll also talk about what you hope to achieve in therapy (or work together to figure it out!). If you’re new to therapy, I encourage you to give it a shot—you might surprise yourself in the best possible way. And if you're returning to therapy, give yourself permission to try again.
