Hello! My name is Ty Martin and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri since 2010. In addition to Missouri, I am also licensed in the states of Washington, Iowa, and Nevada. I aspire to get licensed in other states so I can provide services to those in need.

My theoretical orientation is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT) as there are a variety of interventions to choose from that are evidenced based. I specialize in Trauma Informed CBT, e.g. TF CBT for children 3-18 and Cognitive Processing Therapy for ages 14-Adulthood. However, I have had the opportunity to serve people with use of Strength Based Approaches, Non directive therapy, e.g. Client Centered Approaches and Directive therapy approaches, Skills Building and Structured Problem Solving, amongst many other interventions.

In my tenure as a therapist, I have served across many facets including Virtual, In Home, Inpatient, Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, In School, and other Community based settings. Percy Ford, MC, LPC-MHSP established Lighthouse Correctional Counseling and Mental Health Services in 2012 to provide Individual Psychotherapy, Family Counseling, Group Therapy and Couples Counseling to offenders and their families. Mr. Ford earned a BS in Social Work from Tuskegee University in 1997 and graduated from Argosy University School of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences in 2007 with a MA in Professional Counseling.
