As a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner I share my interests with clients I see.
When I was working full-time as a Family Nurse Practitioner I saw an unmet need in clients finding a balance in their physical and mental health. I decided to return to school to strengthen my knowledge in psychiatric mental health care.
For the past five years my focus has included seeing clients with substance dependence, MAT treatment, ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia. I especially enjoy the 1:1 experience via telehealth seeing clients in the comforts of their own home.

Finding the right psychiatrist in Fort Collins starts with understanding the type of care you need. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, and monitor how that medication is working over time. If you're looking for support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, or another mental health concern, a qualified healthcare professional can help you understand which types of care may be appropriate for your needs. Psychiatric nurse practitioners (PMHNPs) can also prescribe and manage medication and are another option available through Headway.
Fort Collins and the surrounding Larimer County area have a range of mental health providers, and narrowing your options can take time. Consider what matters most to you — whether that's a provider who specializes in a specific condition, someone who offers virtual appointments, or a prescriber located near Old Town or south Fort Collins. Reading a provider's bio can help you understand their background and approach before you book.
Psychiatry sessions in Fort Collins can be expensive without coverage, but using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce what you pay. On Headway, you can enter your insurance information to see estimated session costs before your first appointment, and many patients pay as low as $0 per visit. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, making it easier to find a psychiatrist who fits both your clinical needs and your budget.
