My work in mental health is shaped by both professional training and a life lived across cultures. I am an internationally graduated Medical Doctor (IG-MD), born in Venezuela with strong Greek roots, and I have lived in the United States for over 30 years. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives and help me connect meaningfully with people from all walks of life.
I currently practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus in psychiatry. In addition to my psychiatric training, my background in hospital medicine has strengthened my ability to understand individuals as a whole—recognizing how mental health, physical health, and daily life continuously influence one another. This allows me to provide care that is thoughtful, balanced, and highly individualized.
Much of my clinical work has been in telehealth, where I offer accessible and attentive care to patients across the lifespan, including children and adolescents (ages 6–18) as well as older adults. I commonly work with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, and ADHD, and I incorporate holistic strategies to support long-term mental wellness.
My name is Sharnice, I am a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over five years of clinical experience supporting individuals and families navigating a wide range of mental health and medical concerns.
My psychiatric specializations include mood disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, and co-occurring substance use conditions. As a dual-certified provider, I also bring a primary care lens to my psychiatric practice — allowing me to treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply individualized. I believe every person deserves a space that feels safe, affirming, and free of judgment — where their voice is heard and their goals shape the direction of their care. Whether you are seeking support for the first time or looking for a provider who will truly partner with you in your wellness journey, I am here to meet you where you are.

Hi there, I'm Dr. Nadeem, a Board Certified Psychiatrist. Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right psychiatrist in Lake Worth Beach starts with knowing what kind of care you want to explore. Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication, while therapists focus on talk therapy. Medication management may support care for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, stress, and other concerns. Some people start with a prescriber, some start with a therapist, and some work with both. Review each psychiatrist’s listed specialties, training, and approach to see whether their experience matches your needs.
Lake Worth Beach is a smaller local market, so nearby in-person psychiatry options may be more limited than in larger Florida cities. Virtual appointments can expand your search while keeping access practical for your schedule. Medication management visits are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, though some psychiatrists also offer therapy. As you compare options, look at appointment availability, whether the psychiatrist is accepting new patients, and whether a free phone consultation is offered. Reading bios can also show how a psychiatrist communicates, what conditions they focus on, and what to expect from the first visit.
Psychiatric care in Lake Worth Beach can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before you book. Headway helps you find psychiatrists who accept your plan, are accepting new patients, and offer clear cost estimates after your insurance is verified. You can browse profiles, compare virtual and in-person options, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
