My name is Dr. Llena Carter. I am originally from the southside of Chicago. I have lived in four different states and traveled to over 40; including teaching/traveling abroad for multiple summers. I have been a therapist for over 20 years and have a breadth of experience. I see therapy as a sacred space where trust and nonjudgment are essential. I am specifically passionate about providing support for persons of color and oppressed populations where therapy may be otherwise stigmatized. I would be honored to walk, even a small part of your journey, with you.
In my 20-plus years of clinical experience, I have worked with individuals, families as well as with couples and groups. My experience has stemmed from a variety of settings including domestic violence shelters, psychiatric units, juvenile detention centers, college campuses and private practice. Consulting work has included Suicide Prevention, DEI trainings, Intergroup Dialogue, and Groups geared toward de-stigmatizing mental wellness for communities of color. All are welcome here.
I've been a therapist since 2015 and have worked with all kinds of people, from those facing homelessness in Detroit to curious five-year-olds learning about their feelings. I’m trained in Gottman Couples Therapy, have training in infertility mental health both in the US and abroad, and am working toward a perinatal mental health certification. I like to mix proven methods with warmth and a good sense of humor, so you'll always feel at ease. Helping you find your own strength and grow is what inspires me, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Hi, I’m Morgan. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in relationships and women's health. I work with individuals navigating the emotional and relational changes that can arise during pregnancy, postpartum, parenthood, and perimenopause/menopause. Many of the individuals that I support are adjusting to identity shifts, new stressors, and unexpected anxiety and depression. Individuals often find themselves struggling to manage relationship strain, are experiencing communication challenges, and are feeling a sense of overwhelm as roles and expectations change.
