I’m passionate about helping people feel more like themselves again. I understand how overwhelming it can feel when your emotions, energy, or focus are out of sync. My goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care that brings stability and peace back into your life.
When I started working in psychiatry it became my passion. I work with individuals from the age of 6 to geriatrics. I have had the pleasure to work on several inpatient crisis stability units for adult age patients 18-55 years old as well as geriatric units for patients ages 55 years and older. I have also worked in a private practice setting for the past 4 years. I have come to realize when you love what you do it no longer truly is work.

During her doctoral research, she focused on how hormones influence brain function and behavior, a natural extension of her lifelong curiosity about human behavior. She later transitioned into nursing, earning a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate from Johns Hopkins University. Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right psychiatrist in Lagrange starts with understanding which type of mental health care fits your needs. Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication, while therapists focus on talk therapy and support. If you are looking for help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or medication management, a psychiatrist may be a good fit. Some people start with psychiatry, some start with therapy, and some work with both, depending on the kind of care they need.
In a smaller city like Lagrange, local psychiatry options may be more limited than in larger metro areas, so virtual appointments can help expand your search across Georgia. Psychiatric appointments for medication management are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, while some psychiatrists also offer therapy. As you compare options, look at appointment availability, whether the psychiatrist is accepting new patients, and whether a free phone consultation is offered. Reading bios can also help you understand each psychiatrist’s specialties, communication style, and approach before you book.
Psychiatric care in Lagrange can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before your first appointment. Headway helps you find psychiatrists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, verifies your benefits, and shows your estimated cost before you book. You can browse psychiatrists in Lagrange, review bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
