Hi there, I am Dr. Lola Adeboye, a board-certified, doctoral-prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner here in Cumming GA. A proud alumna of the University of Alabama, "Roll Tide".
My approach combines evidence-based medication management with practical therapy skills and lifestyle support to treat the whole person, not just symptoms. I work collaboratively with patients to create personalized treatment plans that build coping skills, improve daily functioning, and support long-term mental wellness. My goal is for patients to feel heard, supported, and confident in managing their mental health.
I offer office, virtual, or after-hours appointments. Weekend appointments are based solely on requests and availability. I look forward to meeting you soon. Thank you.
When I started working in psychiatry it became my passion. I work with individuals from the age of 6 to geriatrics. I have had the pleasure to work on several inpatient crisis stability units for adult age patients 18-55 years old as well as geriatric units for patients ages 55 years and older. I have also worked in a private practice setting for the past 4 years. I have come to realize when you love what you do it no longer truly is work.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding the right psychiatrist in Georgia starts with understanding the type of care you need. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, and monitor how that medication is working over time. If you're looking for support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, or PTSD, a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner may be the right fit. Some psychiatrists also provide talk therapy alongside medication management.
Georgia has a wide range of mental health providers, but availability varies significantly by region. Metro Atlanta, Savannah, and Augusta tend to have more options, while smaller cities and rural areas may have fewer in-person providers. Virtual appointments can help bridge that gap, giving you access to licensed prescribers across the state from wherever you are. When comparing providers, consider their specialty, whether they offer virtual sessions, and how their approach aligns with your goals.
Psychiatry in Georgia can be expensive without insurance. Using in-network benefits is one of the most reliable ways to reduce your out-of-pocket costs. On Headway, you can enter your insurance details to see estimated session costs before you book. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and many patients pay as low as $0 per session. You can review provider bios, confirm your coverage, and book directly — all in one place.
