I’m Rocio Jenkins, MSN, APN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing evidence-based, compassionate care to adults and adolescents across New Jersey.

I specialize in anxiety disorders, ADHD, depression, trauma-related conditions, and women’s mental health. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, burned out, or unsure whether medication is the right next step. My role is to help you gain clarity, emotional stability, and confidence in your treatment plan.

I am a board certified adult psychiatric nurse practitioner with 16 years of experience in medication management. My specialties include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, sleep disorders and more. I treat patients 18 years and older and see patients in person at my quiet office suite as well as through online telehealth. Please note that I am no longer prescribing stimulant medications for ADHD (Adderall, Vyvanse, methylphenidate, etc).

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I am committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care that respects each individual’s unique background, culture, and experiences. I have 31 years of nursing experience and specialize in the evaluation and treatment of postpartum mental health conditions, including postpartum depression. I also treat anxiety, depression, mood disorders, weight management, PTSD and OCD. I started out in maternity and pediatrics as my nursing career and then went back to school for my masters, PMHNP certification and doctoral degree. I have also taught nursing students in undergraduate and graduate curriculums. I believe meaningful healing starts with being truly heard. I take a holistic, collaborative approach to care—working with you to understand the root causes of your symptoms and develop a personalized treatment plan that supports your overall well-being, looking at medications and holistic measures such as diet and supplements in order to heal. Some of the most important nutrients essential for brain health include Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6, Vitamin D Vitamin A Folate and Protein. Treatment includes evidence-based medications, therapy, supplements, and nutrition management tailored to your unique needs, culture, goals, and comfort level. Dr. Zaidi is Triple Board Certified in Psychiatry/Neurology, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He has encompassed more than thirty years of extensive and diverse experience in the field of Child, Adolescent & Family Psychiatry. Dr. Zaidi was responsible for the management of a Monmouth Medical Center Children’s Crisis Intervention Service staff and operations; establishing patient services for adolescents, including day and overnight hospitalization; and supervision of multidisciplinary staff in various settings. Dr. Zaidi served as a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Department of Psychiatry at the Drexel School of Medicine. As a Site Director for Psychiatry, he provided supervision and training of medical students and pediatric residents on rotation at Monmouth Medical Center for Drexel School of Medicine and the Physicians Assistants Program from UMDNJ and Seton Hall. Dr. Zaidi has seen children, adolescents, and adults in private practice for over a decade. Dr. Zaidi is certified by the Board of Education to conduct psychiatric evaluations for school districts for Monmouth and surrounding counties.
