My name is Muriell Carlisle, for over 15 years, I’ve dedicated my life to making a positive impact on individuals, couples, groups, and families through the art of counseling. My journey has taken me across continents and through diverse settings, shaping my unique perspective on the human experience.

I currently have over 16 years within the non-profit sector, private practice, residential substance abuse treatment facilities, and medical Social Work facilities. And over 10 years of experience as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC). Throughout these roles, I have developed specialized skills in crisis intervention, non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), care coordination, and de-escalation techniques for clients in active crisis, alongside with identifying solution-focused practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Trauma Reprocessing. My clinical experience includes delivering comprehensive care to clients managing chronic medical conditions, complex trauma, and acute substance use disorders.

I graduated college in 2011 with a Master's degree from Adelphi University. I am licensed to practice in Florida and Michigan. I help people ages 16+ to overcome depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions and self-doubt to create more fulfilling and empowered lives. Dustin R. Kebre; M.A; LMFT; MT3057 My current focus lies in the private practice setting, where I take a special interest in treating trauma, anxiety & depressive disorders in adults. I take a Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) approach, which allows for long-term benefits in fewer sessions than other counseling models. I was intensively trained in EMDR and believe the focus of counseling is to not only work on managing your current struggles, but to develop the tools needed to independently manage future obstacles as well. I use a combination of reflective listening, as well as an instructional approach, to help guide you towards becoming the best version of you!

I have a Master's in Clinical Psychology and a License in Marital and Family Therapy. I treat individuals, couples and families. I specialize in healing people from pain and suffering. I believe the connection you can develop during therapy provides an environment where you can feel safe and nurtured. I am a graduate of Pepperdine University, I am proficient in treating minor to severe mental health issues and disorders. I have extensive experience working with dual diagnosis and addiction. I am competent in healing people with minor to severe mental health issues including trauma and personality disorders. I specialize in treating individuals, couples and families from a family system perspective, as well using multiple evidence based modalities in a integrative approach.
