I arrived in the US in 1982 and completed my psychiatric residency at Temple University Hospital, in Philadelphia in 1989.

IN 2010, I completed a forensic psychiatry fellowship in Portland, Oregon.

I have worked as a staff psychiatrist within the Maryland state mental health system for 23 years.

I am working with patients suffering from general mental illness and patients suffering from substance abuse.

I have worked with substance abuse clients since 1992 when I created a treatment program at Crownsville Hospital, in Crownsville. More recently I have been working with clients receiving buprenorphine (Suboxone) for the treatment of opioid use disorder.

Camille Brown is a compassionate and dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) committed to providing holistic, patient-centered care across the lifespan. With a strong foundation in both primary care and mental health, Camille integrates evidence-based medical and therapeutic approaches to support the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of her patients.

I am a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with training in both primary care and psychiatric mental health. I have extensive experience providing care in community, correctional, and integrated care settings, where I work with individuals managing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and other mental health concerns.

I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and respected. I value thoughtful assessment, clear communication, and collaborative decision-making to help clients better understand their symptoms and treatment options. My goal is to partner with each client to develop a personalized care plan that supports both mental and overall well-being.

I have experience working with adults, adolescents, kids, couples, and families. I graduated with my MSW in 2016 and then lived in El Salvador for 20 months providing individual and group therapy as well as researching interventions with teens. Since returning to the USA, I have worked with teens in shelters, schools, and a PTSD focused clinic while maintaining a private practice working with adults, teens, and couples.
