Seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, and other emotional or behavioral challenges.
As a bilingual English-Spanish provider, I am passionate about improving access to high-quality mental health care for diverse communities and creating a safe space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves in the language they know best. My goal is to build trust, empower healing, and support you every step of your journey toward better mental health.
My work in mental health is shaped by both professional training and a life lived across cultures. I am an internationally graduated Medical Doctor (IG-MD), born in Venezuela with strong Greek roots, and I have lived in the United States for over 30 years. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives and help me connect meaningfully with people from all walks of life.
I currently practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus in psychiatry. In addition to my psychiatric training, my background in hospital medicine has strengthened my ability to understand individuals as a whole—recognizing how mental health, physical health, and daily life continuously influence one another. This allows me to provide care that is thoughtful, balanced, and highly individualized.
Much of my clinical work has been in telehealth, where I offer accessible and attentive care to patients across the lifespan, including children and adolescents (ages 6–18) as well as older adults. I commonly work with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, and ADHD, and I incorporate holistic strategies to support long-term mental wellness.
Hi! I'm Dr. Miller, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience in mental health and wellness care. My journey has taken me from earning my BSN at Barry University to my MSN and FNP at the University of Miami, a Post-Master's as a Psych NP from the University of Alabama, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from FIU. That depth of training means I bring both clinical expertise and genuine, hard-earned wisdom to every person I work with.
I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and proud U.S. Army veteran committed to helping adults find balance and healing. I provide evidence-based, compassionate care for anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related conditions. My goal is to create a calm, respectful environment where every client—veteran or civilian—feels seen, supported, and understood. I combine medication management with practical coping strategies and therapy-informed guidance to promote lasting well-being.
If anxiety, depression, stress, or other mental health challenges have made it difficult to feel like yourself, you're not alone. I believe meaningful healing begins when you feel genuinely heard and supported. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I provide personalized, evidence-based care designed around your unique needs, not a one-size-fits-all plan. Together, we'll identify what's holding you back, build on your strengths, and create a clear path toward greater balance, confidence, and lasting emotional wellness.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding psychiatrists in Longwood starts with knowing what type of mental health care you want to schedule. Psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, medical doctors, and doctors of osteopathic medicine can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication. Therapists focus on talk therapy. Both can be useful entry points, depending on your needs. If you are looking for support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or medication management, review each psychiatrist’s listed specialties, training, and approach before booking.
Longwood is a smaller local market, so nearby in-person psychiatry appointments may vary by schedule, office location, and availability. Virtual appointments can expand your options across Florida while still helping you connect with a psychiatrist who fits your needs. Medication management visits are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, though some psychiatrists also offer therapy. Some people choose to work with both a therapist and a prescriber. As you compare profiles, look for appointment times, whether the psychiatrist is accepting new patients, and what their bio says about communication style and care structure.
Psychiatric care in Longwood can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before your visit. Headway helps verify your benefits and shows estimated out-of-pocket costs before you book. Every psychiatrist listed is accepting new patients, and many take insurance, making it easier to review bios, compare availability, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
