Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.
My name is Lexie, and I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I founded Still Waters Psychiatric Mental Health, LLC with a passion for helping individuals and families find peace, healing, and hope through evidence-based psychiatric care and compassionate therapy.
I provide both therapy and medication management with a strong emphasis on a holistic, client-centered approach. I specialize in working with children (ages 6–17), young adults (18–35), and pregnant/postpartum mothers—offering support through challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, and perinatal mental health concerns.
My training has equipped me to treat the whole person while honoring each individual's story, values, and cultural background. I use a range of therapeutic techniques, including trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and supportive psychotherapy, and I always aim to create a safe, trusting space where you feel heard and empowered.
Whether you're seeking support for your child, navigating young adulthood, or facing the emotional complexities of motherhood, I’m here to walk with you.
I work with individuals and couples who are functioning on the outside but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected in their relationships. I especially enjoy working with men who want a straightforward approach, couples ready for real change, and women who tend to overfunction and feel exhausted by it.
I work with individuals, children, and families, helping them rebuild life skills while addressing mental health challenges. I completed my Bachelor’s in Psychology at the University of South Florida and earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I am bilingual in both English and Spanish, and I’ve worked extensively with Hispanic families, making me uniquely suited to address their specific needs.
My additional training includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Integrative Harm Reduction Techniques, and I’m currently undergoing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I grew up in central Florida and earned my Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University, followed by a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida. During graduate school, I gained experience working in a treatment facility and with college students at USF, advocating for children’s educational needs while they balanced mental health treatment. This exposure led to my interest in behavior-focused therapy, particularly in using exposure techniques.
I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults dealing with obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, depression, Tourette's, and disordered eating.
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Art Therapist working with children, adolescents, and adults. I completed my Bachelor’s in Psychology with a Minor in Art and earned my Master of Science in Art Therapy from Florida State University.
I am passionate about helping others overcome challenges and understand the inner workings of their minds, empowering them to create positive changes in their lives. I’ve completed training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Advocacy Core Training.
Hi! I am a fully licensed mental health therapist. I have been in the business of helping people for over 15 years. I am direct and solution oriented, but will not rush the process.
I have worked with clients from ages 3 through 80 and with individuals, couples, and families. With that breadth of experience, very little shocks or surprises me, and I am able to develop an individualized approach for each client, combining therapy modalities that play to my strengths as a counselor and that are helpful for the people I’m working with.
Three principles shape all the counseling I do:
I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have worked in mental health for 10 years including substance abuse facility and private practice. I want to work with you to empower yo to navigate your emotional landscape and develop coping strategies that foster resilience and personal growth.
Hi, I’m Yen, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is truly passionate about helping people feel seen, heard, and supported. My journey in healthcare began many years ago as a Medication Technician and CNA, where I learned the importance of patience, compassion, and meeting people exactly where they are. I later earned my Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, became a Registered Nurse, and ultimately pursued my calling as a PMHNP.
These experiences have shaped the way I care for others. I understand that every person’s story is unique, and my goal is to walk alongside you with understanding, warmth, and respect. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, depression, or simply seeking a space to feel grounded again, I’m here to support you and your family on your path toward healing and emotional well-being.

My core belief is simple: I believe in you and your ability to become the healthiest, most fulfilled version of yourself. Life often makes it hard to see that potential, let alone know how to get there. My role is to be your guide and ally on that journey.
My path to becoming a clinician has been intentional. Beyond my master's degree in counseling and advanced post-master's training, my work in non-profit and community mental health has given me a breadth of experience with people from all walks of life. This doesn't mean "I've seen it all," but it does mean that I'm prepared to meet you where you are, without judgment. No matter what you're going through, if you are ready to take a step, so am I.
Look, nothing gets better if we don't find a way to face it safely. That's why therapy takes courage. It took courage just to get this far, and you already deserve credit for that. When you're ready for that first, brave step of reaching out, I'll be here, ready to loan you some of my hope until you can hold it for yourself.
