Welcome!
As a board-certified psychiatrist with a specialty in child & adolescent psychiatry I believe healing happens when we address the whole person- mind and body. Seeking help is often the most difficult step on one's healing journey, so congratulations on taking the first step!
If you're a parent worried about your child, or a young person trying to keep it together — I see you, and I'm here to help.
Maybe your child is melting down in ways you can't explain. Maybe your teen is shutting down, struggling at school, or carrying something heavy that nobody's been able to name yet. Maybe you've tried to get help before and it didn't quite fit. Whatever brought you here, you're not overreacting — and you don't have to keep navigating this alone.

Many of my patients come to me feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, frustrated, or stuck. I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults, with a focus on anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and recovery support.

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Finding psychiatrists in Edison starts with knowing what kind of mental health care you need. Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, and manage medication over time. Therapists provide talk therapy and can also be part of your care. If you are looking for support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or medication management, review each psychiatrist’s listed specialties, clinical background, and approach before booking.
Edison is a smaller city within a larger central New Jersey care market, so local in-person psychiatry options may be more limited by schedule, office location, or specialty. Virtual appointments can expand your choices while still letting you search for psychiatrists licensed in New Jersey. Psychiatric appointments for medication management are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions. Some psychiatrists also offer therapy, and some people work with both a therapist and a prescriber. Before choosing, check appointment availability, whether the psychiatrist is accepting new patients, and what their bio says about communication style and session structure.
Psychiatric care in Edison can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you search for psychiatrists who match your needs, verify your insurance, see estimated out-of-pocket costs upfront, and book directly when you are ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
